“Taking a trip into the world of fairytale, Aaron Price’s Merfolk refers to the half-human creatures of legend. This is their siren song: restrained, beautiful, sustained, radiant.
Fanfare Magazine, Colin Clarke

The word Merfolk refers to the fabled notion of half-human creatures who dwell beneath the tide. While traditionally tales of these creatures speak of Mermaids, the female incarnations, Merfolk of any other gender have been scarcely mentioned. Most above-sea languages are difficult to understand underwater, thus the Merfolk hum and sing simple vocalic syllables, in hopes their siren song can be understood across the vast oceans.

Written for and premiered by Khorikos, available on New Choral Voices, Vol. 2 on ABLAZE Records.
